Prevalence of cervical high-risk human papillomavirus and cytological abnormalities in elderly Turkish women

Objective: Cervical cancer (CC) screening ends at the age of 65 in Turkey, as many countries. However, about a quarter CCs
 occurs women over 65. Persistent high-risk human papillomavirus(HR-HPV) infection is most important factor
 leading to CC. In this study, we aimed investigate prevalence cervical HR-HPV and cytological abnormalities Turkish
 aged over.
 Patients Methods: A total 467 between ages 66-84 who were referred gynecology outpatient clinics for any
 reason January 2010 December 2021 included study. Pap smears (liquid-based) patients screened for
